FemCal: The Fertility Calendar App Reviews

Best on market

My wife and I have been using femcal for over a year now and find it extremely accurate. She has irregular cycles occasionally and the dynamic coverline and prediction that femcal offers you cant find elsewhere. We love it. Now we just need it on the iPad.

Update introduced problems

Ive been using this App for more than a year and found it quite useful. But the new update on October 10 was a step backward in two ways. One is that now, if you enter data for a future date, the calendar subsequently erases it and you have to re-enter. Before, when I knew Id be taking a medication for the next five days, I would enter it all at once. Now I do that, and the information is gone the next time I open the App. The second problem is that every time I view the App, it makes me wait a long time while a dialogue box shows that it is loading cycle history. This happens even when the App is open and I switch views from another App. If you have a lot of cycles stored, as I do, this means you have to wait roughly 30 seconds each time you go to the App before you can do anything. Hopefully these issues will be resolved. Otherwise its a very good application.

Great Customer Service

I was having issues downloading my cycles to my new iPhone. The tech support told me the problem and fixed it within the hour. Come to find out it was my phone that had the glitch.

Follows the guidelines from "Taking Charge of your Fertility" exactly!

Love this app! It follows the guidelines from "Taking Charge of your Fertility" exactly! Instead of paper charting or using the software I can chart changes to cervical fluid, position and temp wherever I am and it automatically draws the cover line (based on the rules of the book) and predicts when you will be ovulating or menstruating based on your past cycles! Love it! I was so excited and relieved after I read the book that I didnt have to paper chart! So user friendly!

Follows TCOYF

What I needed. I can list amount of flow, symptoms, CM, and see both a chart and a calendar. One star off for not being able to put a thumb over a temp and adjust the temp line, no numbering of luteal days, and the lag time as it loads multiple cycles. Otherwise exactly what I want to track multiple things. It is important to me that it follows TCOYF and doesnt dumb down the process.

Great until last update

I had all my cycles on there. This helped with IVF too! But after the update I lost all my cycles:(. Help new to Locate them :(

Lost cycle after new year

Was working great but since January 1st, 2012 it has stopped tracking my last cycle and now says "no cycle found" please fix this bug!!

Waking time

Would be great if this app incorporated differences in time temp taken! Otherwise much easier than paper charting!

Customer Support

I find this app helpful and when I had technical trouble (user error on my part), I received immediate feedback and help from Jonathan.

Wonderful, but needs 1 small feature.

This app is so great and works really well with FAM. However, I really wish there was an option to include temp in calculations or to not include temp in calculations. Sometimes the body does unexpected things, or you are sick, or you just slept in. Including that feature would make this perfect for me.

Really solid app

I have used it a few months now. Much easier than paper. As another user pointed out, Id love to see a feature that let you disregard a high temp before ovulation (alcohol use, sickness/fever, sleeping in etc). Also, it seems to have trouble determining peak days. Otherwise I really love it!

Awesome!!!!

This app is awesome!!!! Projection and tracking at its best.

iPad?..

Why is there no iPad version!?

Good app but...

I enjoy this app. It works well for tracking natural cycles, but if a cycle is longer than 70 days it says "cycle not found" and when I have a medicated cycle it still uses the information from my nonmedicated, anovulatory cycles to predict my period. I wish their was a way to distinguish between medicated and nonmedicated cycles, otherwise why is there an option to enter medications taken?

Needs pregnancy mode

Has been great using it for about a year. Pregnant now and cant track bleeding without starting a new cycle. Needs a pregnancy mode to switch on. Ill have to move my info to another app to track without this feature so I can track my days.

This app used to work fine. Ive been tracking my cycle for years. Now that Im trying to get pregnant the 7.0 iOS has created a glitch which wont allow me to open the app. Several people have asked for an update and there has been no response. Whats happening?

Not accessible with iOS7

Come on, guys. We need an update to make this compatible with iOS7 again. I cant get to my data. The iOS has been out for nearly 3 weeks now.
